    Sand racing Empty Sand racing

    Post by subaru-offroad Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:43 am

I'm calling out anyone that wants to sand drag 1/8 mile runs on private property...

I'm running a beast in the sand so it's gonna take a big slugger to knock 250 awhp wrx with weight reduction, suspension upgrades, and skid plates lol. But it will be fun! affraid

    Anyone up for it?

I want to drag race in the sand like a sand buggy or something just to see how the wrx does.. I swear this thing plants me in the seat even in the sand with stock tires...

lol it's been there. I jumped some rail crossings with it lol.. I hit some going 90 or so the other day but they were flat and didn't get much air. I got distance though. Maybe a foot off the ground for at least 15 feet long lol. Gotta give it a flick just as the suspension compresses so it will land right. That way you land one tire at a time! Check out this collin mcrae film about how to jump-- So far so good! Always jump on private property Razz

All his tricks work.. Hold the gas to keep the nose up, let off the gas or press the brakes to push the nose down.. most rail crossings I keep the gas on till the wheels brake loose and then let off the accelerator. Rarely use the brakes, b/c it will nose plow.. Only use brakes if you feel the back angle of approach getting too steep. Jumping is fun--ps it helps to have a passenger the same weight as you riding shotgun. Keeps the car balanced

haha that would be a good race if I could get some sand paddle tires. With stock street rubs, it's not so swell. I wonder if there's any video content of WRX vs atv's and dirt bikes lol
